Closer to Our Next Phase of Life

Today, our Senior Journalism class spent time discussing and reflecting on the awesome year that we had. There were many ups and a few challenges along the way. We learned so much this year in Journalism class. How to interview, the who/what/when/where/why/how foundation of building a story. the pyramid style of formatting a story and so much more. We realized that "life is journalism and journalism is life" as our teacher Brother Daren Daniels always reminds us.

During our time of reflection, we quickly began to realize that this is literally our last year in high school and what this means. It means that we will all enter a new phase in life. Some of us will be attending trade school, many of us will matriculate to post secondary institutions around the country (from Talledega College, to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to Mount Mary College), some students will go directly into the workforce, some students will start business and entrepreneurial ventures, while other fellow students will tackle a military career path,. No matter the choice each of us makes, one thing is for sure, we ALL will be entering a new phase of life.

For some, this life transition will be filled with joy, others anxiety, and some uncertainty. But we all know that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). As Christians we rely on God's guidance and wisdom to lead us down the right and righteous path. We know with His help, all of our collective futures indeed look bright and will be filled with countless possibilities.

We truly thank God and Holy Redeemer for giving us the platform to succeed.

Class of 2016, Stand Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
